Word-Filled and Wordless Wednesday

Word-Filled Wednesday

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

I wanted to use this verse today, because it jumped out at me as I was reading the Bible and thinking of Carter (who still needs lots of prayers by the way--check out his blog and leave his mother some encouraging words). I wasn't sure what picture to put with it at first, but I decided to go with flowers. Flowers make me think of spring which I associate with hope. Then this dogwood picture jumped out at me. Dogwoods flowers are in the shape of the cross! The cross represents Jesus who is the ultimate hope! If you don't know the story of the dogwood, go here.

How beautiful! Dogwoods are my favorite tree...they are so peaceful and serene. I love that the cross-shaped petals represent Christ. This passage is the subtitle to my blog and one of my absolute favorites! Thanks for sharing and thanks for dropping by my blog today. It's nice to meet you. ; )
Blessings,
Tracy
P.S. Definitely sending up prayers for precious little Carter.

Wow! I had never noticed the dogwood flowers are in the shape of a cross before. How awesome is that!

I think the picture/scripture combination you chose is just perfect. The picture of the dogwood really enhances the meaning of the scripture.

Happy WFW!

Great verse.
I do find myself looking at Granton's blog daily and now I am looking at Carter's as well. I can't imagine what these little boy's families are going thru, but it does sound like their faith is strong and that will get them thru this.

I enjoy looking at your blog, I've gotten Rachel looking at it too, Now she has to check it out daily to see if you have added anything. She really enjoys it.
